Went to go check it out in person last weekend, it's MINT and almost all stock. Someone traded it in on a new Nismo 350z. Pics don't do it justice.

Not affiliation to the seller at all, just a unique car available local.

yeah, $30k and 122k miles? I thought you could get R34s imported for $40k from that one company... they wouldn't have wedsports and whatever, but damn.

And whats with the chips in the paint on the valve cover?

122 kilometers. It's about 7x,xxx miles (don't feel like doing an exact conversion). And you're referring to MotoRex. I was wrong, autobarn's price is on point with MotoRex's. I was thinking of the GTS R32 which was cheaper, but the GTR from them is also $30K.

I thought you had to keep MotoRex informed of where they all were, unless this car wasn't imported and registered by them (highly unlikely).

Are they still in business?

No they are not. The owner is now in jail. This car came from Canada from what I understand. It is not DOT certified, but is titled under a Illinois title and is exempt from Emissions.

That's a whole lot of contradicting there. If it's not DOT certified, it can't be registered / titled, regardless of emissions status.

Though, I think there was another company out there getting Skylines into the country. They also had their hands on a few other overseas prizes. That might be how the R32 kept it's legal status.

You need to do a little research. It can be state certified. For example you can make a kit car and register it in one state and not another. DOT just gives it 50 state certification. This car was imported into Canada and inspected there. The guy traded it in and Autobarn applied for a title and got it.

Evolutionimports of Florida was getting all types of JDM cars including Skylines into the country by titling them as a kit car and then reselling them.

The kit car thing makes no sense.

http://www.dmv.org/i...-built-cars.php

That Skyline is none of those. There has to be a reason it can be titled in IL.

Edit: And why does the speedo top out at 110mph. biggrin.gif
